Toby Kommer

Growing up in Minnesota Toby was one of those people that knew very early on what his career interests were and attended Concordia College to major in Accounting and Economics. After college he immediately pursued his CPA designation and his Masters degree at Central Michigan University.

Mr. Kommer is the CEO and Owner of Haga Kommer CPA firm, one of the largest CPA firms in the Midwest. Haga Kommer CPA’s was founded in 2014 and has been named to Inc. Magazine’s fastest growing companies for the last six years including 2019 when the magazine ranked the company #1 in North Dakota and #150 within the United States. Haga Kommer currently has 10 offices in North Dakota, Minnesota, Arizona and Colorado and employs over 150 staff members.

In addition to his ownership of Haga Kommer, Mr. Kommer also owns Aspire Bank, Aspire Insurance, HK Wealth Management and Aspire Group. These “sister” companies to Haga Kommer provide complimentary financial services ranging from banking, insurance, wealth management and consulting and employ another 25 staff members.

Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors Mr. Kommer served in various roles such as Senior Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and CEO for both publicly traded and privately owned corporations. These companies ranged in size from the 6th largest financial company in the world to smaller regional companies. Toby divides his time between Scottsdale, Arizona and Fargo, North Dakota.
